Living in Tehran
Iran as the education hub of the region, with a relatively inexpensive yet good quality education attracts many international students. Its capital city, Tehran, with more than 8 million people, has more than 15 state universities, along with many other non-state institutes of higher education in Tehran.
There are many cultural events in Tehran; the most famous one is the annual international book fair with millions of visitors, including thousands of university students, scholars and their families. The event currently serves as the most significant cultural event in Iran with an average of 2,500 domestic and 600 foreign publishers. Tehran is also home to the world’s biggest bookstore – a colossal 700,000 square feet complex. There are many other attractions to entice students to study in Tehran, including museums, galleries, theaters and cinemas.
