The AUF Covid-19 international research grant awarded to 4 UT faculty members
The AUF Covid-19 international research grant was awarded to a project proposed by 4 faculty members from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering(College of Engineering) and the Department of Industrial Design (College of Fine Arts) of University of Tehran.
The project of " Design an Interactive Portable Ventilator for Covid-19 Patients ( Rspid) is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Dr. Hadi Moradi and Dr. Seyed Kamaloddin Setarehdan from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Dr. Maryam Khalili and Dr. Mehran Fateminia from the Department of Industrial Design of the University of Tehran .
This project won the AUF COVID-19 international research grant among more than 2000 projects submitted by 84 institutions located in 44 countries. This project is one of the two projects selected from Iran among 92 winners in the world.
The cooperation between the engineering team and the design team has the objective or realizing a portable and interactive ventilator with real use in hospitals in which all stages of technical and industrial design are based on scientific knowledge and standards and seek to be produced locally.
