Evaluating EFL Teacher Education Program in Farhangiyan University Students: A Triangulation Study based on CIPP Model
Teacher education programs try to prepare prospective teachers for the real classroom context and intend to improve the quality of teachers. Language teacher training programs aim to prepare and equip the prospective teachers to do better in the classroom and as a result in the effectiveness of the teachers concerning the outcome of the education. The main purpose of this study is to draw attention to the importance of evaluation in the education of prospective English language teachers by reviewing the relevant literature and applying CIPP model of foreign language teacher evaluation to the context of English teacher education in Farhangian University. This study also aims to trigger more evaluation studies in other training contexts including ESP using similar approaches.
